Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Board and set sail from the dock in Rockland. This trip gets started right away with a welcome lobster bake. We’ll be anchored for the evening. The excursion begins with a traditional lobster bake aboard the Ladona and Stephen Taber.

Day 2

A day of sailing that will bring us into Bar Harbor for some sightseeing and shopping after dinner.

Day 3

We’ll take a bus tour through Acadia National Park, stopping at a number of highlights that we haven’t been able to view from the water, including Cadillac Mountain, Thunder Hole, and more. We’ll also enjoy classic Mount Desert Island popovers at Acadia’s Jordan Pond House. Then we’ll sail to Islesford.

Day 4

Sail to Somes Sound where we’ll enjoy a farm-to-table dinner at Beal’s Lobster Pier in Southwest Harbor.

Day 5

A full day of sailing will get us about halfway back to Rockland. We’ll anchor for the night and enjoy more of the great food and drink.

Day 6

Arrive back at the dock around mid-morning. Plan some time to browse around Rockland and explore the many art and cultural venues that make it such a vibrant community.

*Itinerary subject to change.

This trip is also available during the same dates on our fully restored 1920s luxury racing schooner Ladona. Both vessels will be sailing in tandem.
